Material development and production:

Kosuke Araki, Akira Muraoka

For window displays of Issey Miyake Men / Aoyama and Kobe, Kosuke and Akira handcrafted huge sculptures out of rice glue, sawdust and jute.

The black winding sculptures were inspired by trails of orbital motions of the stars because the theme of the brand for new season was starry night in a desert.

They were all having a common feeling that wasting a lot of materials for a temporary display like fast fashion was not right, so we decided to used only environmentally friendly materials to make the display.

This was a collaborative project with a Japanese architect Momoko Kudo.
